‘The Sentry’ Logo 2022-24
When I was the Design / Illustration Editor for The Sentry Newspaper at my university, I iterated through two different logos. As a paper, we leaned into vintage design aesthetics, and I was inspired by midcentury graphics as well as art deco styles. Thus, The Sentry Logo was born.
I began my time there in 2022 with a complete redesign, and the triangular logo was created. Then after many months, we went towads the simple logo with no border. However, we wanted something that would stand out and have some pizzazz. I eventually settled on the circular logo in the fall of 2023. It is my favorite, and is still in use after I have graduated! I would say that is a success!
