As the Design / Illustration Editor for my university newspaper: The Sentry, I was in charge of guiding illustrators to create a cohesive cover illustration, then use those images created to create the final cover. It is a collaborative process that involves a good deal of art direction and study of magazine design motifs. This then allowing the paper catch the eye with its design and overal visual language.
